Project |01

 

"Apocrypha" is a game modification for Bethesda Game Studios The Elder Scrolls V: Skyrim. The modification was created by 28 students in Brian Doyle's University of Baltimore COSC 497 Game Modification course in the Fall semester of 2012. I assumed the role of one of 5 team leaders who guided, assigned, and critiqued the work of each team member. I was also a lead level designer and world builder for the project designing two indoor environments and one large scale exterior city environment. I also contributed to the art team, modeling and importing unique assets which conformed to the unique and realistic style of Skyrim. All environments shown were designed and created by Brandon Van Haren using Bethesda Game Studios Skyrim Creation Kit with some additional work done on Blacklight Town Exterior by Jacob Clayman. All assets shown created by the fine artists and designers at Bethesda Game Studios, Rockville, MD.

Blacklight Town Exterior

Cut off from the rest of civilization through continual blizzards and constant rock slides lies the town of Blacklight.

Nobleman Home Interior

Located in the heart of Blacklight, one untouched home remains warm and welcoming, even in the frozen, desolate and remote reaches of Tamriel.

Rourken Glacial Cave Interior

If the trip to Blacklight wasn't filled with enough peril already, the Rourken Glacial Cave seems to taunt travelers with its  bottomless ravines, sheer ice cliffs and hostile ice trolls who make the cave their home and hunting grounds.
